It’s coming! Spring! Along with the beautiful weather will come baseball games, yard work and muddy messes too! That’s all par for the course as a mom so I really don’t mind, but sometimes I do need a little “Me Time!” A little quiet time to myself so I can gather my thoughts and unwind a bit before my next task at hand. Sometimes getting some time for yourself seems impossible. Today I’m showing you 5 Ways To Have “Me Time” In 30 Minutes!
I like to indulge, so I love to have a little sweet treat to enjoy when I have some “Me Time.” NEW Betty Crocker™ Sweet Rewards are delicious soft baked bars are really an indulgent treat. They satisfy your cravings and are convenient to keep on hand. These single serve bars are perfect for all of your quiet “Me Time” moments or even to take with you on the go!
On my last grocery shopping trip to Walmart, I picked up all 3 varieties of Betty Crocker’s Soft Baked Bars. Sweet Rewards Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar, Caramel Brownie Bar, and Butterscotch Blondie Bar… because you never know what flavor you might be craving! 😉 I always find a moment during my “Me Time” to enjoy these yummy bars. Sounds blissful, doesn’t it?!
So How About That Me Time…
Go For a Walk. Grab your sneakers, your dog and get outside and hit the pavement for some fresh air. Set aside just 3o minutes for yourself to get moving. Your mind and body will thank you!
FaceTime a Long Distance Friend. For me, this is my sister! I miss her so much now that she lives away, but it’s always nice to catch up for a half an hour on the phone. Make a cup of coffee, grab your favorite Sweet Rewards Bar and your phone and connect with someone who means a lot to you and always puts a smile on your face.
Go For a Drive. As much as I love being at home and in the kitchen, sometimes I just need to get out of the house. Whether it’s to run an errand or just to enjoy the beautiful country landscape with the windows rolled down, a nice drive can be done in any weather, anytime.
Escape To Your Office. Now when I say escape to your office, that means close the door behind you. If things are a little crazy around our house, I will ask my husband if he can look after the kiddos for a half an hour and I will go into my office, close the door, listen to some music and clear my head. No work! Just 30 minutes of a little escape (it’s necessary sometimes and you’ll be a better mother for taking a little break) and enjoying a sweet treat from my desk drawer will have you feeling like new again!
Take a Bath. A bath? Who has time for that? Guess what? You do! I think sometimes as mothers we don’t let others help out because we think we are the only ones who can do things or we think we are the only ones who can do things the right way. I’ve got 4 children, an I’ve just recently realized that even if things aren’t done exactly the way I would like, my husband can get the job done and he does his best. “Schedule” a bath for yourself while your husband helps the kids with their homework one night a week!
BONUS- For those days that you just can’t seem to squeeze any “me time” into your day before everyone is tucked into bed…
Enjoy Turndown Service. That’s right! Turndown service in your own bedroom. You can (Your husband can too) pull your sheets down, fluff your pillows, turn your side table lamp on and place a Sweet Rewards Bar on or near your pillow. Close your bedroom door, finish the dishes or wash your face for the evening, then retire to your bedroom to enjoy that little something special!
No matter how you get your “Me Time”, it’s definitely important to have it. That alone time (and an indulgent dessert bar) can help you get through a tough, stressful or exhausting day.
What would you do with 30 Minutes of “Me Time?”
