Today is a great day for a family walk in the woods. It is cold, but the real first snowfall of the season has not yet arrived. While the ground is not covered with a blanket of snow, hopefully we can find some things to use for any upcoming winter projects or just exploring. Kids love the outdoors and really pay attention when they are given the opportunity to do so. Set aside even half an hour and go on a little adventure. Pine cones are excellent for crafts. Acorn also can be decorated for the holidays. A vase full of smaller bare branches can also bring a touch of nature into your home this winter. Bundle up, grab a bag and enjoy the fresh air.
