If you have limited time this week but you still would like to make a special sweet treat, these truffles are the ticket! You just might have all of the ingredients in your pantry right now to get started on these chocolate delights. I made these in less than an hour, but no one needs to know that! These are perfect for a gift or just for yourself & your family. I hope you love them just as much as I do. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 36 Oreo Cookies, finely crushed ( I used my food processor)
- 1 (8 oz.) package Neufchatel cheese, softened (you can use cream cheese too)
- 1 (12 oz.) package Semi sweet chocolate chips
- Sprinkles for garnish
Instructions
- Mix cheese and cookie crumbs until blended.
- Shape into 30 (1 1/2 -2 inch) balls.
- Melt chocolate in a glass bowl in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring after each time for about 1 1/2 minutes.
- Dip the balls in melted chocolate and remove to waxed paper covered rimmed baking sheet with a 2 forks, removing excess chocolate.
- Garnish with sprinkles.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm.
