I have partnered with Raymour & Flanigan to work on projects in my home. All thoughts & opinions expressed here are that of Cozy Country Living.
About a month ago I shared my Big Living Room Reveal with you all. I was so excited (I still am!) about how everything turned out and for my family to really make the most of this large space. I’ve moved a few things around after we really got a feel for the space and everyone has found their own favorite spots. With summer right around the corner, I’ve also made a few brighter touches as well. Come in and take a peek!
I think our cat is enjoying this space even more than we are. Every few days it seems as if she finds a new favorite spot. She is an indoor cat and spends all of her “free” time in here. I think she is definitely pleased with our furniture purchase! I think she loves the camera too, don’t you?
After having DVD’s sort of spread all over our house and a 4 year old who loved to go through them and mix them up (can you relate?), I’ve finally got all of those movies and even the Wii (along with games & accessories) all stored nicely and out of sight in the Sierra Console. It has so much room!
The many cases that looked like such a mess all over the house, now look neat and tidy on the large shelves. The drawers work out great for my boy’s Skylander and Disney Infinity characters too. My 4 year old no longer plays with the DVD’s because I think she forgot they were there! Out of sight, out of mind! 🙂
We originally had our coffee table kind of centered with our 5 Piece Sectional Sofa. I loved the way that looked, but when my husband and I have a “Date Night In” with dinner, wine and a movie, we want to be a little closer to the television. I switched the double ottoman and the coffee table and we are loving it. The coffee table works out great in front of the Briarwood Microfiber Sofa near the TV and creates almost a separate, more cozy area of it’s own within our large living room.
My children loved to lay on the soft, comfortable ottoman and watch Tom & Jerry before bed, but they can still do that on the lounger from the other side of the room. As you can see, everyone has really made themselves quite comfortable!
This furniture has really stood up to some use even though it’s only a few months old. My daughter has climbed up on the sectional before washing her hands or before I could catch her to wipe her face after eating things like bananas, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and even a chocolate chip cookie. The first time I saw the messy evidence I was nervous. I ran and got a warm, soapy wash cloth from our kitchen and wiped it up quickly. It came right out with no problem and no evidence of any sort of mess. I often hear people say, “Oh, I can’t have a light colored sofa because I have children.” Not true! With four little (not so little) crazy kiddos of my own, I’m telling you that you can. I’m so thrilled that I didn’t have to sacrifice my style. Because I have Raymour & Flanigan’s furniture protection plan, I don’t have to worry at all!
Since I chose this lovely Taupe colored furniture, I am able to easily change little accents here and there like throw pillows or blankets for a new look each season. These pretty yellow pillows make this space feel summery and fresh. Get inspired by your favorite summer flowers! Place beautiful, freshly picked, fragrant flowers on your coffee table and see where your creativity leads you!
If you’re thinking about sprucing up a room in your home this summer, head to Raymour & Flanigan to make your dream space a reality! I did and I love it! 🙂
