Okay. This may sound weird, but I actually like browsing around in the pet section. Our furry cat Tootsie is the only pet in our household, but I like to shop around for new toys or tasty food for her. We feed her on a schedule, once a day, and her cat food has always varied. We never had any problems with any of the food we gave her, but sometimes I could tell if she preferred one over the other.
Purina ONE® teamed up with Walmart to hold this 28-Day Challenge and I couldn’t wait to get started. You can head over to Purina ONE® and read more about the Challenge, register your cat’s profile and even add photos and share your experiences too.
The only issue I have ever had with Tootsie, is vomiting. She has long hair and even though she really doesn’t shed that much, after the winter and regular brushing, she does shed a bit this time of year and then we get some vomiting because of hairballs. When I went to Walmart to purchase up the cat food, I found that Purina ONE® came in several flavors. They offer a Healthy Kitten Formula, Salmon & Tuna Flavor, Chicken & Turkey Flavor, Vibrant Maturity 7+ Formula, Urinary Tract Health Formula, Hairball Formula, Indoor Advantage, Sensitive Systems, and Healthy Metabolism.
I naturally chose the Purina ONE® Hairball Formula for Tootsie. It’s a dry cat food and is made with a natural fiber blend that helps minimize hairballs. I hoped that this food would not only be healthy and help her to have increased energy, increased digestibility, better skin, a better coat, brightened eyes, and increased dental health, but would also help alleviate her vomiting. When I got home, I started the Challenge right away.
Now, being that Tootsie is an indoor only cat, she is not as active as other cats that may go in and out. We always joke around because she sits on our ottoman and lounges and relaxes as if she wants everyone to enjoy her beauty! 🙂 She did however seem like she was “on the hunt” more with the birds outside the window . She also chased around the red light laser toy more than usual.
About half way through the 28 day Challenge, I really did notice a difference in her coat. It looked very shiny and neat. When I say she looked like a cat out of a commercial, I mean it!
I normally don’t discuss the litter box, but the “clumps” in the litter box were neat and very easy to remove which lead to less litter waste, and essentially less money spent on cat litter. Yay!
The vomiting…the vomiting has stopped! I am beyond happy with this Purina ONE® Hairball Formula Dry Cat Food that I will be purchasing it on a regular basis. Our cat is happy and so are we!
