I received free products in order to host a Disney Side @Home Celebration. The opinions expressed here are 100% my own.
Our family LOVES Disney! With four imaginative children at home, Disney stories, movies and characters have been a part of their childhood. When I was a toddler, my parents brought me to Disney World, and even though I don’t remember it, the creative stories and magic of Disney still makes me happy and bring out the child in me. After my husband and I started a family we decided to start taking a vacation every year. Our first trip- Disney! We’ve made it an almost annual event because we love seeing our children’s faces light up and well, the feeling of Disney- there’s no other place like it!

I was beyond thrilled when I was chosen to host a #DisneySide @Home Celebration! While I could have incorporated our party into one of my child’s birthday parties, I chose to do it separately as a fun way to celebrate our “Disney Sides” on the weekend- just because.
My children were really excited to help put our multi generation #DisneySide party together! The box I was sent was full of fun party items and games to keep everyone at the party busy.
My older children helped put up the decorations, make the banner and set up some of the games while I was busy in the kitchen preparing some fun Mickey snacks!
It’s been too cold to even play outdoors here, so throwing this party on a chilly weekend afternoon worked out perfectly. I invited my grandparents and my mother to help us celebrate.
My children lined up all of their “Disney Babies” that they received on our previous Disney Vacations, and my youngest daughter dressed up as Cinderella and got out her Minnie Tea Party Set!
When everyone arrived we got started by eating some of the snacks I prepared. A big favorite was the Mickey PB & J Sandwiches I made. These were so easy to make using a Mickey Mouse Cookie Cutter!
I also purchased some Mickey shaped cheeses to add to our fruit and veggie platter. For dessert, we celebrated with Mickey Cupcakes, which were also easy to make.
We just added 2 Oreos to each cupcake after they were frosted and sprinkled! Yum!
Then we were onto the games! My kiddos couldn’t wait to play “Pin The Smile on Mickey”, so we started with that.
It was so much fun! I don’t think I’ve played a game like that since I was a child!
Next, we were onto Disney Side Bingo! We used Cheerios to mark our cards and the categories; Parks, Attractions, DisneySides, Characters and Resorts were really fun too!
We then headed into the other room, where I had other fun things set up like My Family Tree Of Life Posters, Disney Side Word Searches, Disney Quote & Attraction Match Ups, and a fun game of Mickey Go Fish!
After a few games of cards, the older guests started doing their word searches and I polished my little princess’ nails with the wonderful collection of peel off nail polish (love this by the way 🙂 ) we received.
When her polish was dry she was onto playing with her new Princess Palace Pet!
Us adults took a little time and looked at old pictures of our previous Disney Vacations and talked about how fast time goes by.

I cherish our Disney memories and they are some of the most wonderful times we’ve had. Now that our children are getting older, we smile when we think about the earlier trips we took to Disney with 2 strollers (1 double & 1 single) with us. It was so fun, but a little work too. Well worth it though. Our children were really little and sometimes people would question why we would bring them to Disney if they weren’t going to be able to remember it. Our answer- We will remember it. It was for us.
Now that our children are getting older they will most likely will remember our future Disney trips. We are so excited to be heading to Disney this Spring, and this party was just the thing to get us in the spirit and to show our Disney Side!
As for our party- we made special memories there as well. We turned an ordinary weekend into a magical one with our family! Playing all of those fun games with our grandparents, laughing and just spending time together is what life is all about. The memories we made this weekend will last a lifetime too!
