Sometimes you just want pizza! When you have a large family though, ordering out can get expensive. This pizza dough is really easy to make, tastes delicious, and is easy on your wallet! It makes a nice thick, hearty crust. If you have never made pizza dough before I think you will be surprised at how simple it really is. The hardest part is waiting for the dough to rise. The topping possibilities are endless too. Our family loves classic Cheese & Pepperoni and Sausage with Onions & Peppers. Whatever you like on your pizza, you can turn it into a fun family event. Try different toppings every week or have pizza and a movie. The best part is, you can have a great pizza and enjoy your family without ordering a thing:) Do you have pizza night at your house?

- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 3- 3 1/2 cups BREAD flour
Instructions
- In a Kitchen Aid Mixer, combine the warm water and the sugar.
- Stir in the yeast, cover with a towel and let sit for 10 minutes.
- The mixture should look foamy and bubbly.
- Add the salt, oil and only half of the flour.
- Start mixing this and then add the rest of the flour a little at a time until the dough is a little sticky to the touch, but not so sticky that you can't get it off of your hands.
- Knead the dough on medium speed for about 8 minutes until it has formed a nice ball. (You can always add a little flour if it is too sticky)
- Transfer the dough into a large bowl coated with olive oil, in a draft free place and cover with a towel or plastic wrap.
- Let the dough rise for 2 1/2 hours.
- Roll your dough out, brush the edges of the crust with olive oil and top with your family's favorite toppings!
- This makes 1 Large 20 inch pizza.
- * I like to bake my pizza at 500- 550 for 12-14 minutes... but it would depend on your oven*
