My children are done with their first week back to school and I have officially made it Fall in my mind. One problem…it’s 90 degrees outside today and that’s just not very fall like now is it?! We have colorful leaves on the ground and it smells a bit like fall, so these really hot temperatures seem very odd. I am very much looking forward to the rain and high of only 65 tomorrow. I cannot wait to begin baking with pumpkin this season! When the autumn weather is cooler I feel like baking in my kitchen all day, I just love it! Until then, these yummy Pumpkin Spice Smoothies will just have to do! 🙂 Have you got out the pureed pumpkin and started your Fall baking yet?
These smoothies are so simple to make and taste really, really good! Vanilla yogurt, milk, pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and a pinch of clove make these chilled drinks the perfect afternoon snack or even a breakfast. You can even dress these up a bit and add a little whipped cream and spice on top to make them extra special. My family just loves that!
I made these smoothies in just 5 minutes and chilled them in the refrigerator so they would be ready for my children’s afternoon snack. My family really likes pumpkin, so we enjoyed these! Pumpkin is really so good for you and paired with milk and yogurt these make a delicious and filling snack. You may even want to trade one of your Pumpkin Spice Lattes for this cooler fall treat. I’ve even made these a day ahead of time and they keep really well in the refrigerator.
The best part about making this is that your children can help too. Let them put on their little aprons with you and help put the ingredients into the blender. I know my 3 year old can’t wait to see what’s going to happen when we push that Blend button! Have fun with this family recipe and enjoy!

I am drinking a pumpkin latte right now! It’s pouring here in ct. And I am looking forward
to the fall and the lower temps also. My 16 year old has been cooking and baking all summer. But there’s something about baking in the fall that I absolutely love!!!
Can’t wait to try these! Thanks!!

Thanks Annie! I love Pumpkin Lattes too! These are nice because you get the good nutrients from the yogurt and pumpkin and can adjust the spices/sugar to taste. I hope your family enjoys these 🙂
