I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Katy’s Goodness. I received samples for this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.
Today is Veterans Day. It’s a day where we thank the brave men and women who have proudly served this country. It’s a chance for us to really acknowledge the many sacrifices that these people have had to make and when we can show support our Veterans and their families. Veterans Day has always had a special meaning to me because I have several loved ones in my family who have served through all branches of the military. A simple phone call, a family meal or just a visit are some of the ways we as a family show our gratitude on this day. Do you have a family member who served? How do you show thanks on Veterans Day?
If you are a Veteran, I would like to take the time right now to say
Thank You!
Sometimes we don’t have a close connection to anyone on certain observances like today. The need to show your appreciation is probably there, but it may feel awkward to approach a stranger or an acquaintance to simply say “Thank You”. That’s why I am so excited to share this Katy’s Goodness program with you all today. Anyone can participate in this wonderful program that promotes Random Acts of Kindness for our Veterans!
Through the Katy’s Goodness “Thank A Deserving Military Veteran” campaign, Katy’s Goodness strives to deliver cookie care packages to two million of our military veterans’ doorsteps, and as a result, donate more than $3 million dollars to military veteran support organizations.
Between now and Veteran’s Day 2015, you can thank a Military Veteran by ordering a Katy’s Goodness Cookie Care Package to be shipped directly to them. For every Cookie Care Package that is purchased, Katy’s Goodness will make a donation to one of its nationally recognized charity partners, Easter Seals, Student Veterans of America, Warriors in the Workplace, and Support Military Foundation. This is such a creative and thoughtful way for you and your family to give back and touch the life of someone who served. You can make a difference!
Each Cookie Care Package costs only $30 and includes shipping. Each box that is shipped contains 6 bags of Katy’s Goodness Yummy My OH Mega Cookies, a thank you card, and printed information on organizations that support America’s Military Veteran Community. When you purchase a Cookie Care Package, Katy’s Goodness will automatically ship the package to a Military Veteran through their partners on behalf of the purchaser. How nice is that?!
Let me tell you that Katy’s Goodness Cookies are pretty darn tasty too! They are made with 100% whole grains, do not contain any artificial ingredients, are high in protein, rich in fiber and are an excellent source of Omega3. I would have to say that the Chocolate Chunk are my absolute favorite ( because I just love chocolate so much 🙂 ), but the other flavors are just as good and make a delicious snacks or desserts.
This year I am sharing some of these Katy’s Goodness Cookies with some important Veterans in my life, while also remembering the loved one’s in my family (like both of my grandfathers, below) who are no longer with us. My grandfathers and all of our Veterans are so important not only to my family, but to this nation. They are my heroes.
Please be sure to take a few moments today and show a Veteran your thanks by ordering a Katy’s Goodness Care Package to help support these amazing men and women and their families! If you have a special Veteran in your life, think about taking sometime to visit with them today and maybe even share a meal together. Small gestures can mean so much.
